As with most older Canadian Cities, the City of Winnipeg (City) has large amounts of brick, egg-shaped or inverted teardrop profile sewers. Many of the smaller egg-shaped profiles are good candidates for CIPP Lining; however, in 2015, the City and their consulting engineer identified two sewer sections that showed many drawbacks for a CIPP installation.The first pipe segment was a 2000 mm x 1600 mm and second a 2950 mm x 1950 mm diameter brick egg-shaped profiles. Both sewers showed signs of failure to the obvert of the pipe.
