Interoperability requirements of federated System-of-Systems (SoS) for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions are complicated by the fact that the SoS needs to be cybersecure and exhibit resilience in the face of disruptions. These missions require multiple organizations to dependably work with others, while assuring timely information sharing among them and orchestrated resilient responses to deal with contingencies and disruptions. This paper discusses interoperability challenges for resilient cybersecure SoS, and offers promising solution directions.
