Insulated concrete form (ICF) is a system of formwork for reinforced concrete construction typically composed of rigid expanded polystyrene (EPS). A 3 m (10') × 3.6 m (12') × 350mm (14") deep floor-ceiling assembly was constructed in the laboratory consisting of ICF forms in a steel frame. Concrete was poured into the floor-ceiling assembly and it was fixed into place between the source and receiving room of an accredited laboratory. The base assembly was tested to STC 51 and IIC 15. A combination of resilient floor underlayment and resilient ceiling isolation hangers were used with various finish floors to achieve STC values ranging from 51-64 and IIC ratings ranging from 15-69. This paper examines one-third octave band response of the ICF floor across a frequency range from 50-5000 Hz when tested according to ASTM E90 and ASTM E492.
