Nanocellulose-based Composites for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage on Paper: Comparative Studies between Traditional and Innovative Methods
1. New nanocomposites based on CNCs and CNFs were prepared and evaluated for their applicability in restoration processes 2. Among several composites studied for this purpose, the sample containing CNCs, methylcellulose, PEG, CaCO_3 and TiO_2 presented greater uniformity, a cohesive aspect and less irregularities. 3. CNCs composites presented high crystallinity, and the reinstatement nanocellulose paper presented a dense and homogeneous distribution of CNC on the entire surface of the composite.
