Guided by philosophy of work measurement, we attempted to incorporate information processing theories of cognitive psychology into classification of knowledge work and explored the measuring model for knowledge work. Specifically, we examined the relations between managerial hierarchy and work types, information communication (processing) as well as effectiveness of work measurement techniques.
