Implementing VoIP Voice Communication System Based on Soft-Switch Technology

VoIP aims to provide safe, high efficient and low cost voice communications. It can even offer more comprehensive and quality services than the traditional telephone. Soft-Switch has the characteristics of simplicity, openness and flexibility. This paper advocates the VoIP voice communication system based on Soft-Switch. For its implementation we design and analyze the overall structure of the system and the corresponding software structure. We then give an implementing method based on the open platform of VAP. This system is fully compatible with the SIP protocols. It also supports the devices on the market such as IP phone, media gateway, etc. More importantly, it can be interconnected with other VoIP systems and TDM systems in such a way that it reduces the cost of the system greatly.
