Research on the reconstruction method of PV module based on the door connection

摘要

The most commonly used method to prevent hot spot formation of the PV module is to install the bypass diode. However, the traditional configuration of the electrical connection between its cells and bypass diodes exacerbates the power loss. It has been proposed that the door connection improved the output power obviously under most shading conditions but showed its disadvantages in the other cases. In this paper, the reconstruction method based on “door” connection is proposed. This new method can convert the PV modules gantry between the door connection and normal connection according to the different shading conditions, so as to optimize the output power. The detection criterion of the reconstruction method based on the door connection is proposed, as well as the implementation approach of this new method. Through simulation, this paper draw the conclusion that the reconstruction based on door connection has more superior over the output power.
