In today's world of wireless communication MIMO systems have become the most efficient means of transmission of data. However it has certain disadvantages such as inter-channel interference, antenna synchronization and use of more than one RF chain which leads to system complexity and more cost. To overcome these problems, an efficient system is being proposed in this paper by using space shift keying(SSK) modulation which reduces the circuit complexity and cost, maintaining the same data transmission rates. The BER expressions for Hybrid decode amplify and forward cooperative protocol in SSK with Single relay system will be derived and plotted using Matlab software and to validate these results Monte Carlo simulation is used. The results are compared with simulation values and already existing Amplify and Forward, Decode and Forward cooperative protocols.
