1500 Volt Direct Current (DC) supply in Electric Traction was converted into 25 kV Alternate Current (AC) by the end of December 2015 in Mumbai Local Train. This conversion showed the drastic changes in the speed control, time and cost saving. It was impossible without the recent developments in the power electronics. This paper present the complete conversion of present traction electric system into MATLAB Model. This model mainly help in studying the performance of Induction motor at normal and faulty condition, effects of various loads without disturbing the main system. Internal system connected to the pantograph via transformer whose secondary is connected to the rectifier, chopper and inverter to control the Induction Motors. Graphical behavior of system can be used to study the performance of motor by plotting speed, torque graph using MATLAB Simulation.
