Columna radiante de un Radar Secundario implementada con cintas metálicas

摘要

This paper shows the desing, implementation and measurement of a Uniform Linear Array (ULA) of metal strip dipoles in order to demonstrate that this technology is applicable to Radar Systems. Such array represents a column of the radiating system of a Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR). The specifications are obtained from the requirements of the vertical radiation pattern of this type of radars. The use of this technology in radar systems represents an affordable altetnative to other more expensive technologies.
