摘要

Among the intended and unintended interferences, some sources can be physically identified such as those produced by power lines (TL). To mitigate the TL frequency spectrum, this work aims to identify the bandwidth that best represents the spectral responses of the insulators using statistical signal processing approaches. The normality and correlation coefficient statistical methods are used. When subjected to high voltage, insulators can radiate RF frequencies. It is shown that using linearly polarized antennas some components of the radiated field are filtered. Therefore, the insulator spectrum information presented in these sub-bands is missed. The measures using vertically and horizontally polarized antennas were compared with those obtained using a 3D sensor. The measurements cover the band from 30 MHz to 330 MHz.
