Influence of aluminide coatings on the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of thin-walled sheets

In industrial furnaces and oil burners components are made of thin-walled sheets of high temperature alloys. For service conditions involving temperatures below 900°C and low mechanical stresses, austenitic heat-resistant steels are used. For higher temperatures Ni-based alloys have to be employed.
