摘要

Photocatalytic hydrogen production by water splitting is an important complementary technique to photovoltaic applications yielding high energy density fuels with zero carbon footprint. Here, we show that by combining femtosecond and nanosecond pump-probe spectroscopy, the rates and yields of the fundamental electron transfer reactions can be traced and dominant loss processes can be addressed.
