Nowadays, Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) has relatively low thermal efficiencies compare to the thermal power plants. Since nuclear energy is a well-known emission-free energy, it is necessary to find ways to make it more efficient. This paper introduces the conceptual idea of using steam reheat in one of the most common reactors today-pressure channel reactors, in order to increase turbine inlet temperatures to increase thermal efficiency. The simulation results was performed for the new design by using IAEA DE-TOP (Desalination Thermodynamic Optimization Program).
