摘要

Although the domain of hard real-time systems has thoroughly been elaborated in academia, architectural issues did not receive the attention they deserve, and in most cases just off-the-shelf computer systems are used as execution platforms - with no guarantee that they are able to meet the temporal requirements specified. Therefore, a novel asymmetrical multiprocessor architecture for embedded control systems is presented. Resembling the structure of the human brain, it inherently supports temporal determinism.
