摘要

Impulse-radio wireless sensor network is a recently proposed concept of a wireless sensor network that aims sensing with high spatial resolution. Extremely simple architecture of the network is expected to largely reduce power consumption and maintenance cost, which enables installing huge number of sensors to observation area. Here, we propose a novel localization method for the impulse-radio wireless sensor networks based on time of arrivals of impulses at anchor nodes and estimated reachable area of impulses. Adapting sequences of impulses, we also extend the proposed method to simultaneous localization of multiple sensors and localization of entire area of detected events.
