Relevant aspects that affect the costs of cement plant facilities

In this work, relevant results of a series of Trade-off analysis performed on the structural costs of critical facilities of cement plants. To this end, the influence of key parameters in the CapEx of the related structures and foundations are evaluated such as the soil conditions, the type of structural material (reinforced concrete or structural steel), and other aspects related to the particular process and lay-out design. The obtained results not only demonstrate the influence of the different parameters on the total CapEx of the involved structures, but also provide clear guidelines for value engineering the involved structural designs.
