Composition and Playback for Minimal Music Using Surround Acoustics

This paper identifies methods for the perceived localization of sounds that describe realistically improbable patterns for music by using surround acoustics. An example would be the perception of an instrument seemingly moving closer and farther to the listener. However, in our experiment, we could not obtain satisfactory results for various reasons described herein.
