This scientific paper dealing with the complex of physical and electrochemical methods examines the process of local disturbance of iron passive state by perchlorate ions in borate buffer solution (pH=8,4) and water solution of sodium perchlorate (pH=6,4). There is put forward an assumption concerning the adsorptive mechanism of iron passivity disturbance by perchlorate ions in the studied systems. Within this mechanism activated anions adsorbing on the passivating layer surface form soluble complexes able to cause its destruction and further local activation of metal.
