Corrosion behaviour of zinc, galvanized steel and Fe-Zn intermetallic compounds at various pH was studied in simulated pore solutions. In the case of zinc and galvanized steel, the study of corrosion mechanism was extended to bond-strength tests that should confirm the results, and concrete structure analysis by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
