Conducting polymers (CPs) coating are a group of versatile materials have been widely studied as corrosion inhibition coatings in harsh environments. The most studied CPs have been polyaniline and polypyrrole having a good performance against the corrosion[1]. Unfortunately, they still have some drawbacks and disadvantages. For example, polypyrrole is not stable in aqueous environment and the polyaniline family can release toxic product during their degradation[2], which limits the use of these coatings in marine environments. In the last years research on metal corrosion inhibition by using a polythiophene coating has proven to be fruitful[3].
