Redflow advanced battery for remote telecommunication sites resilience and backup

摘要

In this work the deployment of the Redflow Zinc Bromine Module (ZBM) in telecommunication applications under different scenarios is proposed. With a specific focus on remote area applications and long backup time, the ZBM can be used to outperform existing technologies. In fact, not only does the battery have superior performance compared to existing solutions, but the product proved to be very versatile and can be deployed in a large variety of operating conditions. An example is represented by the new hibernation and UPS modes in which the battery can operate specifically to reduce its running time in order to extend the battery life by more than one order of magnitude when compared to existing solutions.
