Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) is considered a popular method to diagnose different types of faults occurring in power transformers due to different electrical and thermal stresses. These stresses can lead to arcing discharge, partial discharge or thermal faults in the power transformer. This paper focuses on the employment of the Matlab Simulink Tools with dissolved gases, in order to determine the transformer faults based on the interpretation methods in IEEE standard such as Dornenburg and Rogers methods. The constructed model is built according to Dornenburg and Rogers codes in IEEE Standard C57.104 rules. The results from the proposed Simulink model are compared with the results from lab tests and result from the literatures to test the accuracy of each method in transformer faults diagnosis. The results of this study are useful in the development of a reliable transformer diagnostic system using an easy Simulink model based on interpretation method in IEEE Standard.
