The congested sub-6GHz spectrum has steered the attention towards millimeter-wave (mm-wave) communication systems. To date, mm-wave systems have either sacrificed efficiency, bandwidth, or cost to be realized. In this paper, we present a low-cost wideband feed for UWB Tightly Coupled Dipole Array (TCDA) operating across Ku-K-Ka bands and 5G bands (viz. 17.5-65 GHz) with emphasis on dual linear polarization. The presented array and feed are packaged in a compact profile (H = 2.7 mm) suitable for mobile and hand-held devices. Low-cost vertical to planar feed connections were investigated for a radiation efficient System in Package (SiP) approach. The presented mm-wave TCDA achieves over 52 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth for VSWR <; 3 with scanning down to 60° in both E and H planes in infinite array simulations.
