Control of tribolium castaneum in stored wheat by corona discharge treatment

摘要

In this paper the effect of the corona discharge on insect pests was investigated. Wheat samples were placed on a plate electrode and pin to plate corona discharge generated above samples. The results showed that Corona discharge treatment have significant effect on reducing the population of insects. A positive correlation was found between exposure time to corona discharge and the rate of insect's mortality. The samples containing Tribolium castaneum were treated for 30, 60, 90 and 120 s, the corresponding insect mortality reached 60, 78, 90 and 100%, respectively.
