The idea of using radio frequency altimeter sensor in various types of application is progressing. One of the most critical applications includes its use in armaments. The analysis of contemporary armed conflicts indicates that in the future precise weapons will be equipped with modern solutions of proximity fuses. This type of devices places much higher demands on the designed systems. Due to the dynamic nature of the phenomena occurring and their high complexity, many tests and experimental research to verify the effectiveness of the Radio Altitude Sensor (RAS) should be carried out. Long-term and complex experimental research aimed at verifying technical parameters of the fuses are particularly problematic. The article describes methods for measuring the activation parameters of the proximity fuse equipped with RAS using a Switch Control Antenna (SCA).
