The end-to-end intelligent transport system (ITS) concept in the context of the european cooperative its corridor

Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) enable the communication between vehicles, roadside infrastructure and traffic control centers. Except of the radio link between the vehicles and between vehicles and roadside infrastructure the system specifications are not finalized now. In this paper the C-ITS concept in context of the European Cooperative ITS corridor is described. The focus is on the defined use cases and the high level system architecture.
