摘要

The results of pulsed atmospheric plasma application for wastewater treatment from heavy metals ions with concentration characteristic for the industrial enterprises of some branches are shown in the present publication. One of the most toxic hexavalent chrome ion effective removing from water is the main question of the publication. Investigations have been made by means of specially developed installations of the "APHRODITE" type for sewage treatment by atmospheric plasma on the base of high-voltage pulse generators «PROTEUS-5» and electro-erosive type of discharge. Research results for simulated wastewater and real sewage show the efficacy of its purification on the example of Cr~(6+) and Zn~(2+) ions up to level of 99.9 % and higher what exceeds efficacy of sewage treatment by most widely applied chemical reagents or bio-chemical technologies at comparable economic expenses for a treated water volume unit which appear essentially more low than similar expenses at standard electrochemical methods (like electrocoagulation, electrolysis, etc.) of sewage treatment.
