The passivity process of aluminum in 0.2M H_3BO_3 + 0.05M Na_2B_4O_7(pH 8.4) solutions under different potential scan rate (4 -100 mV/s) and temperature (20-70°C) was investigated. The obtained experimental results were interpreted according to modern theories of passive state, competitive adsorption and Pearson's principle. The mechanism of passivity process of aluminum in the studied systems was suggested.
