It has become an inevitable tendency for us to apply multimedia technology to foreign language teaching in the twenty-first century, which is the information age of "knowledge explosion". In this paper, we focus on the methods to build an effective mode of multimedia language teaching based on analyzing the pros and cons of the application of multimedia technology and points out the problems we should pay attention to in its implementation process and solutions to them.
