摘要

In this paper, a paraplegic and elderly driven neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) is proposed. The development includes a specifically designed vehicle frame and a support for wheelchair users, integrated control system for easy driving, and collision test. For safety reasons, the vehicle is equipped with collision detecting sensor and driving speed is limited to 60km/h. The performance of its traction drive is analyzed through simulation. To confirm the overall performance of the proposed NEV, a prototype vehicle is manufactured and tested.
