Infrared imaging and temperature measurement technology are increasingly common in the field of scientific research, environmental protection, military and some others. While the mid-infrared channel temperature inversion research is not yet in full swing and daytime mid infrared image has not been used to retrieve land surface temperature. A single channel algorithm is proposed in this paper. First detect the shadow area of the inversion region in a RGB image, assuming this area is not or less affected by the sun. Approach the shaded area and the no-shaded area on statistical analysis of the radiation energy. Then, the sun impacts can be effectively eliminated to solve the difficulties caused by the unique nature of mid-infrared images. At last the problem is included in the general problem of the single-channel thermal infrared band temperature inversion. Experiments show that the algorithm has high accuracy.
