When should we hold ‘em and whenshould we fold ‘em.Successful operational budget planning requires a degree of certainty for the timing of membranereplacement. And as a major investment, membrane life has a significant impact on the whole oflife plant cost. As the application of membranes for water treatment continues to mature as atechnology, what have we learned?This paper reviews drivers for replacement, and how this can vary at different plants.
