摘要

High speed permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drive systems are widely used owing to their high power density, high efficiency. An emerging area for such systems is the electrified aircraft propulsion where high specific power machines are in demand. However, robust control of high speed motors has been a challenging task. This paper presents a comparative study on synchronous current regulation in high speed PMSM drive systems. The coupling between q- and d-axis is a core issue in regulating the machine's electrical dynamics. Several ways to reduce the cross-axis coupling are compared. The effects of inherent system delay on stability and gain tuning is also presented.
