WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL RESERVOIRS IN GANGHA-DO

More than 280 agricultural reservoirs distributed across the country receive water from nearbyrivers, streams or agricultural drainage channels, and this water is used for irrigation. Dueto sub-optimal water quality at the water sources, pollutant has been accumulating in thereservoirs and their water quality has been deteriorating. The purpose of this study is toidentify water quality characteristics of agricultural pumping reservoirs, and then propose theirwater quality improvement.
