Control Inspections on board seagoing vessels

Ulf Pereriet worked as assistant engineer onboard sea going vessels before joining the police in 1992. Since 2008, Ulf has been head of the Department of Shipping at the Waterways Police, Hamburg. Ulf is responsible for ensuring ships comply with environmental regulations such as the MARPOL Convention, European Sulphur Directive and Bunkeroil Convention and there will be focus on the Ballast Water Convention in the future. Ulf is also responsible for investigating casualties and incidents onboard vessels in Hamburg waters.
