Any discussion of antimicrobials in textiles must recognize the importance of apparel to that industry. The recognition that the overwhelming majority of apparel odors are born from microbial growth, and the desire among consumers to wear apparel that continues to feel and smell fresh at the end of the day, has driven demand for a wide range of antimicrobial treated apparel from socks and underwear to uniforms and accessories.
