Breast cancer is a disease that represents an important public health problem, due to its impact, especially in the female population. Early detection, besides presenting the reduction of investments in resources and treatment time, also presents great possibilities for curing disease. There is a diversity of technologies applied in health professionals who assist in the instruction of medical procedures, which reduces failures when such procedures are performed in patients. This work presents the concepts of virtual reality technology and its in application in surgical procedure of Core Biopsy. This technology is associated with the development of a 3D prototype of the female body that will be applied to the virtual simulation of surgical procedure of Core biopsy. For this simulation is closest to the real, deformation techniques will be used with implementation of the Finite Element Method.
