This paper develops a non-invasive method to roughly estimate the human muscle oxygen saturation. A reflective optical system was developed to capture red and infrared images of the medial forearm for oxygen saturation calculation and two-dimensional visualization. The measured oxygen saturation is divided into muscle oxygen saturation and microvascular oxygen saturation through a developed algorithm. The subject's rest and three types of exercise are performed and his oxygen saturation was measured accordingly. The experimental results show the numerical and 2D visualization relationship between exercise level and muscle oxygen saturation and blood oxygen saturation. The purpose of this study is to propose a non-invasive measurement of physiological information to reduce the risk of infection and increase the biocompatibility of the instrument.
