The optimal combat maneuver decision of the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) is critical under the attack mission. However, relationships among factors affecting the attack results are generally complicated and cannot be formulated mathematically. This paper proposes a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) method to get the optimal decision. The FCE builds a three-level evaluating index system according to the related models of the AUV and assigns the reasonable weights for each impact factors. And it uses the the membership function with ridged-shape distribution to deal with the problem of ambiguity and vagueness of factors. Furthermore, this paper uses the simplicial homology global optimisation method (SHGO) to effectively model the whole combat maneuver decision process and solve online optimization problem to find the decision with the highest evaluation score. Meanwhile, it performs the typical scenario tests, and the results show that the proposed method is an effectively way to obtain the optimal combat maneuver decision.
