Oil refinery is a field which has lots of rooms for improvement because of the complexity and huge size of the system. “Dramatic yield improvements have been demonstrated using the latest FCC process technology advances. These advancements include improvements in feed dispersion, stripper and regenerator design, and riser termination for short contact time cracking”,. Effective feed blending and dispersion designs, in particular, have received much attention, for both new refining units as well as old ones. Effective blending systems have been developed to efficiently blend different types of crude oils and obtain desired products with least possible cost, at the same time, reducing coke and dry gas formation and allowing unit operation at higher severity. This report intends to introduce a Linear Programming (LP) optimization method for crude oil refinery system to maximize the productivity of Naphtha, which is one of the most valuable kinds of liquid products during the process of oil refinery. The mathematical model introduced in this report is proved to be effective and consistent in terms of blending the crude oil.
