Granular Index for XML Database

摘要

This paper discussed a rarely touched topic for XML database: how to control the size of the XML index. Compared to relational database and object- oriented database, the XML database has relatively larger index size due to recording the element address and structure information. A solution to control the XML index size is proposed: granular index.
