摘要

We demonstrate, for the first time, transmission of 39.4Gb/s data over a 24.4-meter long 5.2mm diameter coaxial cable with SMA connectors using electrical duobinary signaling. A custom Indium Phosphide (InP) duobinary-to-binary converter integrated circuit has been designed and is used in conjunction with a clock recovery circuit to achieve a bit error rate better than 3×10{sup}(-12) with a 2{sup}15-1bit sequence.
