An efficient method for analysis of the ultra-wide band (UWB) antenna is proposed, the UWB microstrip antennas are analyzed by the mixed potential integral equation (MPIE). The produced dense impedance matrix is partitioned and compressed hierarchically by the multilevel UV method. And the linear systems are solved by the generalized minimal residual method (GMRES) iterative solver, the required matrix-vector multiplication is also accelerated by the multilevel UV method. Numerical results demonstrate accuracy and validity of the proposed method.
