Clutter rejection is a key technique in passive radar. Although many techniques have been implemented to solve this problem, it still presents great challenges due to the involved huge computational cost, the performance sensitivity to the extra environmental factors and so on. This paper investigates a novel subcarrier-based spatial adaptive processing (SSAP) which is tailored for the OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplex) modulation with a cyclic prefix (CP-OFDM). The algorithm principle is first illustrated and followed by the discussion about its advantages. Then the robustness is researched via evaluating the performance under relaxed basic assumptions. The conclusions are demonstrated by conducting on simulated and real data sets.
