Virtual chemical laboratory teaching helps develop and acquire skills. To help to refine the construction of knowledge and the development of such skills, learners need self-evaluation which is an important strategy that helps learners to measure the value or quality of their work. Creating fair and objective assessment in order to help learners self-evaluate their knowledge is a difficult task. Difficulties grow up if the test is in a bilingual format. This paper proposes a bilingual (English, French) ontology that will help learners to generate questions to self-evaluate on laboratory material, product, safety notices and the stages through which chemistry practical work is carried out.
