A succinct summary of various monographs on electromagnetic inverse problems, including a concise definition and description of the problem and an extensive list of pertinent references, is presented. The review covers mathematical treatments, geophysical inverse problems, medical inverse problems, aeronomic remote sensing, high-resolution radar imaging, and diffraction tomography.
