On the Models of Calculating Severe Hazard Caused by Gas-leaking

In recent years, the frequent occurrence of gas leaking of delivery pipes has posed great threat to the delivery operation, and brought about great loss of national economy and people's lives and property. By using Pasquil-Gifford model, based on the intrinsic features of natural gas, this paper analyzes the forms in which gas leaking may occur. Models are built to calculate the degree of gas leaking occurred on different conditions, the diameter of flame, and the radium of explosion so as to estimate the range and degree of the gas-leaking, and to minimize the damage to human beings and environment. Finally, according to the models, the consequences caused by gas-leaking can be well studied and evaluated.
