Study on the Process Conditions of Corn Straw Degradation

Some regularities of crude fiber degradation of corn straw were obtained in this paper. The degradation rate of crude fiber tended to be stable when the temperature reached 30°C above and the inoculation amount got up to 2%. Degradation rate of crude fiber and crude protein content were increasing with the extension of time. When the water content was reached 65%, the degradation rate of crude fiber was decreasing gradually. The conditions of corn straw fermented were optimized by using the quadratic general rotation union test design. The results showed that the optimal conditions for fermentation time, temperature, water content and fermentation agent inoculation were 126.2 h, 31.4°C, 62.0%, and 1.87% respectively, and the crude fiber hydrolysis rate reached 44.69% under these parameters.
