The influence of soaking time on the microstructure, hardness(HRA) and density of cemented carbides layer is studied during the processing of sintering WC-11Co cemented carbides layer at old WC-body by microwave. The results show that cemented carbides layer with high density and hardness can be obtained at the old WC carbide substrate by microwave sintering. The metallurgical combination can be formed between cemented carbides layer and substrate, high compactability of the layer can be gotten and the Rockwell hardness coherence of the layer is well when the soaking time arrives 20min.
